Wonderful.  Field Music are one of my very favorite things of the last five years.  The music produced by the Brewis brothers collective is consistently wonderful.

Q&A: Prefab Sprout’s Paddy McAloon →
Paddy McAloon and Prefab Sprout failed to really catch on in the States.  This is a shame as McAloon is one of the great songwriters of his generation.  I first encountered Two Wheels Good/Steve McQueen in high school when a friend in college loaned it to me on CD.  If you can weed your way through the Thomas Dolby production and layers of synth there’s gold in the grooves.

Much to my surprise, I am most fond of the citrus bitters, which I made with grapefruit and lime zests, juniper berries,… Welcome summer!

tummyrumblr: Pimpin' Ain't Easy →
And I’ll be eating the fruits of this labor…. tummyrumblr: But making this incredibly delicious brisket is a breeze. Seriously. It’s one of those things that you just assemble and throw in the oven for 3-4 hours. You don’t even have to check on it. I’m not kidding. I dare you to try this and screw it up. The technique for this brisket is a braise,…
