Q&A: Prefab Sprout’s Paddy McAloon →
Paddy McAloon and Prefab Sprout failed to really catch on in the States. This is a shame as McAloon is one of the great songwriters of his generation. I first encountered Two Wheels Good/Steve McQueen in high school when a friend in college loaned it to me on CD. If you can weed your way through the Thomas Dolby production and layers of synth there’s gold in the grooves.
