Mussels and 30 Rock... →
It made for a wonderful dinner… tummyrumblr: I had been craving mussels all week and I finally picked some up on my way home last night. I hadn’t given much thought to how I would prepare them, but I knew I had bacon, butter, beer, and some vegetables hanging around in the crisper. I think many people assume that steamed mussels are…

Q&A: Prefab Sprout’s Paddy McAloon →
Paddy McAloon and Prefab Sprout failed to really catch on in the States.  This is a shame as McAloon is one of the great songwriters of his generation.  I first encountered Two Wheels Good/Steve McQueen in high school when a friend in college loaned it to me on CD.  If you can weed your way through the Thomas Dolby production and layers of synth there’s gold in the grooves.

tummyrumblr: The Tim Collins: Patent Pending →
tummyrumblr: Today I made the first cocktail using my homemade bitters. If you recall from this post, I made three distinct flavors of bitters, all of which turned out uniquely delicious. Much to my surprise, I am most fond of the citrus bitters, which I made with grapefruit and lime zests, juniper berries,… Welcome summer!
